Katy Polo is an experienced trial attorney with a background in litigating complex cases. The focus of her practice is medical malpractice and general civil litigation matters. Katy is a member of the Bar in Georgia and Massachusetts.
Prior to joining Adler Cohen, Katy served as an officer in the United States Army Judge Advocate General’s Corps. Katy represented the United States Army in administrative law proceedings, and was selected as one of the Army’s first Special Victim Trial Counsel, where she first-chaired numerous jury and judge-alone court martials and handled all phases of litigation, including discovery, motions practice, expert witnesses and oral advocacy.
Before her military service, Katy worked as an Assistant District Attorney in Chatham County, Georgia, where she prosecuted misdemeanors and felonies with a focus on domestic violence crimes.
Katy graduated summa cum laude from Simmons University in 2012, and graduated from Northeastern University School of Law in 2017.
