Overview
Erin Brown is an experienced healthcare and medical malpractice defense attorney. Her current practice focuses on working with healthcare insurers and reinsurers in analyzing claims and risk management strategy. Erin’s experience defending medical professionals and institutions in a variety of complex medical malpractice actions is invaluable in providing her clients with experience based and practical analysis of high exposure claims.

Erin is admitted to practice in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts in both State and Federal Courts.
Experience

Erin started her legal career in 1992 as in-house counsel for a large insurance corporation where she handled a variety of personal injury, premises liability, and general liability matters.  In 1997 she shifted her focus to medical malpractice defense, first joining Adler Cohen in 2004.  For over ten years at Adler Cohen, Erin defended health care practitioners and institutions in a variety of complex medical malpractice claims including obstetrics and gynecology, neonatology, cardiology, surgery, radiology and internal medicine, along with a variety of other disciplines.  She has also handled licensing matters before the Boards of Registration governing licensed healthcare professionals.

After re-locating to Vermont in 2014, Erin worked as the transaction coordinator in a high-volume real estate agency in the Northeast Kingdom, while maintaining her relationship with Adler Cohen assisting in trial preparation on an as-needed basis.

Erin returned to Adler Cohen in 2025, where she now works with healthcare insurers and reinsurers in analyzing claims and risk management.
