Overview

Calvin Webb’s practice focuses on medical malpractice, professional liability, products liability, insurance disputes (coverage and liability), and general civil litigation matters.

In addition to his litigation and regulatory practice, Calvin’s scholarship explores intersections between law, medicine, and technology. His forthcoming article, Generative Artificial Intelligence and Informed Consent, will appear in a special 2025 issue of the North Carolina Central University Law Review.

Experience

Calvin Webb brings nearly a decade of litigation and regulatory experience to Adler, Cohen, Harvey, Wakeman, & Guekguezian, LLP. Before joining the firm, Calvin served as an attorney advisor with the Medicare Appeals Council within the United States Department of Health and Human Services. There, his work spanned issues involving statistical sampling, novel therapies, and high-value coverage disputes. 

Calvin began his career in Annapolis, Maryland, as an assistant public defender. In that role, Calvin routinely secured favorable verdicts and dismissal orders for his clients through diligent preparation, clear communication, and unwavering advocacy. He clerked for the Honorable Anita Josey-Herring in the Superior Court for the District of Columbia, assisting with complex criminal litigation and the court’s transition to virtual proceedings during the Covid-19 pandemic.
