Overview

Sidney W. Adler (1952–2007)

Sidney "Sig" Adler was a founding partner of Adler, Cohen, Harvey, Wakeman & Guekguezian, LLP. He was a distinguished trial lawyer, concentrating in medical malpractice and personal injury defense, product liability and commercial litigation and lectured extensively on various legal topics. Having tried numerous cases to successful conclusion in jury trials in various trial courts, Sig had a wide breadth of experience in civil litigation. Sig was the Massachusetts counsel for a national professional liability insurer, and was counsel for the company’s Massachusetts Hotline, which provides advice on risk management and practice issues. Sig both lectured and moderated group discussions and participated in panel discussions on various litigation topics at several of these seminars.

Sig was an advisor to physicians and other health care providers on a variety of practice issues, including peer review, credentialing and managed care matters. Sig had extensive experience advising health care providers on licensure issues and representing them before licensing boards. Drawing on his breadth of experience in the representation of health care professionals, Sig also represented physicians and other health care providers and their professional corporations in contract and other corporate matters.
